Hi! I’m Shaina. I am a director, screenwriter, playwright, and creative producer, based in Los Angeles and New York.

My work centers around complex characters, often exploring themes of femininity, familial relationships, and the search for human connection. I am fascinated by the mundane, and I love diving into the gray that lies in between comedy and tragedy, or reality and fantasy.

I am driven by learning from the people around me, and I am grateful for my collaborations with other artists. I hold a BFA in Film & Television from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. My goal is to be part of making work that helps people to live more vividly and presently when they leave the theater.

When I’m not working, you can find me reading in bed, going on very long walks, or making caffeinated beverages.
